my collegiate studies brought me to i.b.i.s., inc. back in june 2010 and the company has done a wonderful job of keeping me here ever since. as part of my position, we are encouraged to blog about the software, hardware, whatever our hearts may desire. although i did complete a few technical posts, i created and have focused most of my attention on a series titled confessions of a young consultant, when i am not billing, of course. these confessions provide a fresh perspective on my journey through corporate america and just what i think of it all.

this page is where you get to discover all those posts, ideas, and thoughts that just cannot be categorized anywhere else. perhaps we could call this the sporadic stream of consciousness? i suppose we will soon find out.
mix and match
as i travel through the “real world,” fashion continues to become a very interesting and fun part of my life. this morning while i was picking out my office outfit, these two pieces whispered, “wear us together.” i did, and it was a wonderful idea.
mixing the blue polka dot print blouse with the houndstooth skirt is a quirky but intriguing match. the polka dots are subtle enough that they are not overwhelming, but they bring some extra interest to the outfit overall. i am usually a tad hesitant when putting prints together, but i thought these just looked so cool together. i threw on some black tights, black pumps, silver jewelry, and out the door i went!

i might be obsessed
i grew up watching my two sporty brothers in all of their athletic endeavors. there were all-star baseball seasons, basketball games, and post-victory snacks. so i made it through my middle and high school days as somewhat of a tomboy. umbro running shorts and hand-me-down t-shirts were my staples. it wasn’t until i graduated from college and into young adulthood did i discover my personal style. it was somewhere in my mid-20s that i uncovered the wonderful world of nail polish.
soft boots!
these michael kors riding boots are one of the smartest fashion investments i have made in a while. the brown on black brings these boots to the front of modern while the simple gold embellishments keep them classy. michael kors has long been one of my favorite designers, and these boots reminded me why i love his designs so much.
